1) YAKAZI NETWORK.

Yakazi network integrates technologies to connect young people with work and business opportunities. It also connects employees and employers.  Both parties are then linked through Yakazi digital platform, where direct communication is initiated.

AVAILABLE SERVICES:

  1. Yakazi Upskilling Programme (YUP) – helps entrepreneurs climb the success ladder through training, advisory services, and mentorship.
  2. Entrepreneurs’ work tools, skilling resources, growth opportunities, links to training camps, etc.
  3. Find & hire app – this is an app that can be downloaded from the Google play store and connects professionals and service providers.
  4. Yakazi work? Business opportunities platform. This is a platform where skilled youths are linked to digitally-enabled job opportunities.

2) AJIRA DIGITAL.

This is a Kenyan government initiative aimed at promoting digital and digitally-enabled job opportunities for the youth in Kenya. The project is being piloted by the ministry of ICT, innovation, and youth affairs implementing partners including Kepsa amongst others.

3) KAM –TVET

Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) in partnership with German Giz.

Launched the KAM –TVET project with an aim of equipping Kenyan Youths with technical skills so that they can take advantage of emerging Job Opportunities in the manufacturing sector.

5) Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs Organization (A.Y.E)

A.Y.E is the largest entrepreneurship network in Africa. A.Y.E aim is to unite and empower entrepreneurs by encouraging them to network to facilitate intra-Africa trade

7) YOUTH ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT FUND.

(Y.E.D.F) is a state corporation under the ministry of ICT, innovation, and youth affairs. The fund is one of the flagship projects of vision 2030 with a focus on enterprise development as a key strategy that will increase economic opportunities for the Kenyan youths.

8) SAGE GLOBAL (Students for The Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship).

 

This is a global non-profit corporation dedicated to teenage entrepreneurs. It focuses on youths who own and operates Socially Responsible Businesses (SRBs) and Social Enterprise businesses (SEBs).

  1. Mentoring – this is done by connecting teens to University students who mentor them.

9) SOMO AFRICA.

Somo Africa’s goal is to challenge the status Quo by providing pathways for people to create change within their communities. Somo identifies, trains, funds, and mentors entrepreneurs looking to drive social change by building enterprises in their low income urban communities

10) African Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEN).

11) K.F.C (Kenya Film Commission).

K.F.C (Kenya Film Commission).

K.F.C is a state corporation under the ministry of ICT, innovation and youth affairs. It was formed under legal notice No 10 of 2005 and consequently, its functions expanded after Legal Notice No 147 of July 2015.

 

Mandate:

  1. Promote and market the film industry locally & internationally.
  2. Identify and facilitate the growth of the film industry.

12) ICT AUTHORITY (Information & Communication Technology) AUTHORITY.

ICT authority is a state corporation under the ministry of information communication and technology. The corporation was established in August 2013 with a mandate of promoting ICT literacy, capacity, innovation and enterprise development in line with the Kenya National ICT master plan 2017.

14) AFRILABS

Afrilabs is a network organization of 225 innovation centres across 47 African countries, which use existing digital platforms to support HUBS to raise successful entrepreneurs that will create jobs and develop innovative solutions to Africans’ problems

16) YOUTH EMPOWERMENT INSTITUTE:

CAP (YET) is a non-government, organization that was started in 2011 with a core mandate of ensuring disadvantaged youths acquire life skills relevant to the labor market, skills and support to establish small-scale enterprises. CAP (YEI) has established training centers in; Nakuru, Thika, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nairobi, Malindi,  Kisii, Machakos, Eldoret, Embu, Kakamega, Meru,Narok, Nyahururu, Nyeri, etc.

17) ASSEK (ASSOCIATION OF START-UPS & SMES ENABLERS OF KENYA).

AVAILABLE SERVICES:

  • Capacity building – organises knowledge exchange programmes and workshops to facilitate peer to peer learning.
  • Empowerment –share timely information on available opportunities to the SME Sector.
